Phoenix Shield — Continuous Supplier Monitoring

What Phoenix Shield monitors, how alerts work by severity, how to add and remove suppliers, the change feed, and plan limits.

What is Phoenix Shield?

Phoenix Shield is Gumshoe's continuous monitoring service. Once you add a supplier, Gumshoe checks them regularly and alerts you when something material changes — company status, director changes, licence expiry, compliance flags, address changes, and the signals that indicate phoenix activity.

What it monitors

  • Company status — deregistration, voluntary administration, liquidation, ASIC strike-off
  • ABN status — cancellation, GST deregistration, entity type changes
  • Director changes — new directors added, existing directors removed or disqualified
  • Licence status — QBCC, NSW Fair Trading, and other trade licences lapsing or being suspended
  • Compliance flags — SG non-compliance, FWO compliance notices, NDIS action lists
  • Phoenix indicators — director changes + new entity + address reuse patterns
  • Web and email signals — domain expiry, MX record changes, significant web presence changes

How to add a supplier

From your Dashboard, find the supplier in your recent verifications list and click the Monitor toggle. Alternatively:

  1. Run a verification on the supplier
  2. On the results page, click Add to Phoenix Shield
  3. The supplier appears in your monitored list immediately

How to remove a supplier

In Dashboard → Phoenix Shield, click the × next to any monitored supplier. Monitoring stops immediately and no further checks are run. Historical alerts are retained.

The change feed

Your Dashboard shows a live feed of detected changes across all monitored suppliers, newest first. Each entry shows the supplier name and ABN, what changed, old and new values where applicable, severity, and when it was detected.
